MY VALUE IS MY INTUITION.
I have twenty years experience working with engineers, software programmers and product manufacturers.
I’ve been a designer on the product development 'shop floor', spent many sleepless nights collaborating with software developers and I have written service manuals and marketing information for a wide variety of automated oil field service equipment.
Its all given me an inner sense of what works and what doesn’t.
I LIKE WATCHING PAINT DRY.
Often when I tell people I’m a technical writer I can almost hear them say ‘that sounds a lot like watching paint dry’.
And it is. But the Information is never too dry that I can’t move the words and pictures around to make a concept, manual or web page easier to understand.
THE OTHER THINGS I DO.
Along the way I have put on my volunteer hat and helped new Canadians gain confidence speaking English. Sometimes I have helped them with their resumes but most of the time I've just encouraged them to speak and not worry about making mistakes - because that's just the way we humans learn. I know, I've made my fair share with no regrets.
